Using Tryon Street as the starting point to look for participants (who might actually live or work several blocks away), this piece aims to observe and celebrate our fair city with a citywide drawing.
To participate, pick up supplies from one of the sites listed below. It's simple: we provide you with a transparency, marker and envelope. You tape the the transparency to your window that faces the direction of Tryon Street and using the permanent marker, carefully trace everything that you see. It will be unique to you and your surroundings. Once the ink is dry, mail your finished drawing to McColl Center of Visual Art and we will compile all the drawings into an installation piece. The exhibition will be revealed August 8th, 2009.
